This is NOT Rocket Science

These are the items I bought to make my own kit:

  • Cabinet liner - the kind that  has 'square' shaped holes that you line your cabinets with.  A strip of about 10" long by an inch wide should do the trick.
  • Alligator clips (to hold the strip in place before you start pulling the strands of hair through it).
  • Crochet Hook (Pulls the hair through the holes).
  • Double-sided adhesive tape (the kind you use when you're too lazy to  to do a proper hem).
  • Glue.  Just a small tube of the E6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive
  • Velcro
  • I used the microfiber yellow terrycloth towels from Costco for the rectangle.  That's what the velcro is stitched to.
  • A popsicle stick to spread the glue.

It's easy!

I have one Shebangz user who is seventy, and with the help of her 80 year old husband, put it together and told me it was easy. If you need extra encouragement, just give me a call for pointers.

Give it a try!

If you're going to have chemotherapy, there's a really good chance you'll loose all of it anyway.  At least this let's you keep a little bit of you intact.
